Hello Democrats in Marietta's Fourth Ward: Willa O'Neill, Harley Noland and Sue Montera are tasked with filling the vacancies created by Geoff Schenkel's resignation of his Fourth Ward Council position. The two vacancies are to complete the current term until the end of the year and to fulfill the upcoming two year term. Any 4th Ward Democrat interested in filling this vacancy, should send a letter of interest and a short bio or resume that would indicate why they are interested and what skills they have that would be a good fit to serve the 4th Ward residents. These letters of interest should be submitted by email no later than DECEMBER 1, 2023 to: office@wcdec.org Keep in mind that we believe this position would require at least 10 hours of attention each week. This would include a minimum of 2 meetings a week that would be anywhere from 1 to 2 hours in length at various hours of the day but usually in the early evening, 2 or 3 hours of preparation, reading, and talking with administration or other council members, fielding calls from constituents, attendance at various city functions and attending Democratic Executive Committee meetings on a regular basis to keep us informed and allow us to support your efforts.
